Mondays of the month
Shravan are specially observed with austerity. During these days women fast and worship
Lord Shiva. Special offerings will be made at the temple of Shidlingappa. The deity will be taken out in a procession on a palanquin. The last Monday of the month is considered to be special. Prayers will be arranged as part of the festivities.
