Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary




Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, covering an area of 608 sq km, is located in Narmada District of Gujarat. The flora of this sanctuary represents remnants of semi evergreen to moist deciduous forests.

A major watershed, feeding the Sardar Sarovar and the Karjan reservoirs, is seen in this sanctuary. Some of the inhabitants of the sanctuary include sloth bear, leopard, rhesus macaque, chausinga, barking deer, python, pangolin, jungle cat, flying squirrel and grey hornbill.

The best season to visit this sanctuary is from November to March.

Vadodara Airport and Bharuch Junction Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station. The nearest bus station is Ankleshwar Bus Station.
