Shiva Mandir Ghat, on the banks of the
River Ganges, is a sacred place located at
Chinsurah in
Hooghly District. This ghat lies near the temple which is dedicated to
Lord Shiva. The steps from the temple lead to the ghat. This ghat is also termed as Shivakali Ghat after Shivakali Sarkar, a person who built it and installed the idol of Lord Shiva.
Shiva Mandir Ghat can be reached easily from Chinsurah which is 50 km from Kolkata.
Chinsurah railway station is the closest railhead. Ferry services are also available.
