Shiv Gauraksh Temple

Shiv Gauraksh Temple in Haridwar was constructed in the year 1956, in the memory of Bhartrihari, the author of ‘Neeti Shatak’, ‘Shringar Shatak’ and ‘Vairagaya Shatak’. It is believed that Bhartrihari did penance in one of the caves after renouncing worldly life. The cave famous by the name of Bhartrihari is located inside the temple on the southern side.
