Shitala Mata Fair is an important event held at
Bhuj on Shitala Saptami (
Janmashtami). It is held near Hamirsar Lake and the Kalyaneshwar temple. During this occasion, a royal procession is conducted here. The day also marks the birth anniversary of Maharao Shri Vijayarajji, a former ruler of Kutch.
