Shekaripuram Ganapathy Temple




Ganapathy Temple is situated at Shekaripuram Village in Palakkad District. The temple is on the western part of the Kava Street. The presiding deity is Lord Ganesh, in the form of Balaganapathy.

The idol is seen facing to the east. It is installed under a big banyan tree. Legend has it that the idol was found from a big tank lying on the western side of the temple.

Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple, Emoon Bhagavati Temple, Shiva Temple and Sri Ayyappa Temple are other temples in the vicinity.

Shekaripuram is about 5 km from Palakkad.
