Sharhi Jatra, one of the important fairs of
Kullu valley, is celebrated during Jaishtha month, which falls on the second half of May or first half of June. It takes place at
Tripura Sundari Temple of
Naggar, and lasts for three days.
Natti folk dance is performed during the fair and various sports competitions are also conducted. A number of temporary shops selling sweets, garments, cosmetics, and articles of everyday use can be seen here on this occasion.
