Shantinath Temple




Shantinath Temple, built around 1028 AD, is a Jain temple located in Khajuraho, a historic town situated in Chhatarpur District of Madhya Pradesh. Khajuraho is about 616 km south-east of New Delhi.

The temple has a four and a half meter statue of Jain saint Adinath, in the standing pose. The statue is believed to have been sculpted in 1028. The temple attracts Digambar Jain pilgrims the year round. The dharamsala situated near the temple provides good lodging.

Khajuraho Airport is situated 2 km from the Khajuraho Bus Station. The nearest railhead is Khajuraho Railway Station.
