Shanmuga Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) is located on the National Highway connecting

Thanjavur and is 17 km from Thanjavur and 35 km from Tiruchirapalli.
This Deemed University, formerly known as Shanmugha College of Engineering, was established in 1984. It offers 12 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate engineering programs besides MBA and MCA. The institute has collaborations with international universities and research centers worldwide.
