Shan Dance




Shan Dance is one of the popular tribal dances of Lahaul valley in Lahaul and Spiti District. It is played in reminiscence of Buddha at the Buddhist Gompas.

Shan is generally performed at the completion of the harvesting of crops.

Shehnai, drums and a sort of stringed instrument similar to violin are among the instruments played that accompanies the dance.
