Shakar Brok

Set at an elevation of 3,591 m above sea level, Shakar Brok is a beautiful place in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar is 184 km south-west of Shakar Brok.

Korit (7 km) in the west, Yogma Kharbu (3 km) in the north, Shakar (3 km) in the east and Saraks (14 km) in the south are places nearby. Mulbekh, Mulbekh Chamba and the Mulbekh Gompa, Namika La and Shergol can be visited.

Lumsu and Hagnis can be easily accessed from here. Shakar Brok is well connected by road and is easily reachable on the Kargil - Leh Highway. The nearest airport is at Srinagar.
