Shad Beh Sier is a festival celebrated by the
Khasis of
Meghalaya. In this festival, a dance called deer hunting dance is performed. This dance is dedicated to occupational merry making. Male hunters in the area hunt deer during the festival. The hunters are awarded with antlers and skin as trophy after the hunting.
