Sevilimedu




Sevilimedu is a small settlement situated on the outskirts of Kanchipuram in Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu. Sprawling over an area of about six sq km, Sevilimedu is bounded in the north-east by Kanchipuram, in the east by Nattapettai, in the south-east by Thenambakkam and in the south by Dusi. Palar River flows near the town. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Perumal Temple is the major landmark here. Nearby tourist destinations include Markandeeswarar Temple at Walajabad, Singaperumal Koil, Devanathaswamy Temple, Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary and Ekambareswar Temple at Chengalpattu. Accommodation is available at Kanchipuram. Chennai International Airport is the nearest airport. Walajabad Railway Station serves the town. Sevilimedu can be approached from Vandavasi and Kanchipuram by road.
