, Sevenmallay Tea Estate is the largest tea estate of Tata Tea Company in south India. It is located at an elevation of 4800 ft to the south-west of the Kannan Devan Hills. The estate name is attributed to the Hindu God, 'Shiva
' and 'mallay' denoting a hill, which in the course of time became Sevenmallay Estate.
Sevenmallay is bounded by Munnar town in the east. The Munnar Christ Church, Munnar workshop, Cenotaph, Ropeway Station, Gymkhana Grounds and K D H Club are located here. The estate receives an annual rainfall of 431 cm.
Nearest railway stations are at Kochi and Kottayam. Nearby airport is Cochin International Airport (130 km).
