Sendra is a small island situated in the center of
Loktak Lake, the largest fresh water lake in North-Eastern India. Loktak Lake is about 48 km south of
Imphal, the capital city of
Manipur.
This islet is an ideal picnic spot with boating and other water sports facilities. A prime attraction here is the Sendra Tourist Home with attached cafeteria. Small islands of floating weed, shimmering blue waters, labyrinthine boat routes and fascinating water plants can be viewed from the tourist bungalow.
Imphal Airport is the closest airport and Dimapur Railway Station is the nearest railhead, 215 km away from Imphal.
