Sempa Khari



Sempa Khari, an indigenous basket, is woven from bamboo splits. It is used by the Bengali population of Tripura for storing small things.

This basket has a square base and rim measuring diagonally 160 mm. The height is 65 mm. This basket is made by weaving the inner portion of bamboo splits in a diagonal fashion.
