Semni Valley Bungalow




Situated in the Tyford Tea Estate in Idukki District, Semni Valley Bungalow was built in between 1919 and 1923. It is located 50 km from Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and 85 km from Kottayam Railway Station. This colonial style house has a collection of wooden coat stands, cheval glass, armchairs and unique wooden carvings and patterns made in wood. Accommodation includes three bedrooms, a drawing room and a play room. Rooms are equipped with wooden fireplaces and decorated with furniture of solid wood. There is a garden with seasonal and rare flowering plants, tea bushes, cypress trees and a huge coniferous tree. Kerala and North Indian vegetarian food are prepared for the guests. Activities include boating and visit to Peermade club and Sahyadri Ayurvedic Centre.
