Situated at 60 km from
Bangalore on the Magadi Road is the massive granite hill of Savandurga, rising to an altitude of 4000 ft above the sea level. Major attraction here is a temple dedicated to Sri Basaveswara. The hill is also a favorite haunt for day trekkers. The temples dedicated to Sri Narasimhaswamy and Sri Veerabhadraswamy, situated at the base of the hill also draws a large number of devotees.
