Satyabadi




Satyabadi, or Sakshigopal as it is popularly known, is a famous pilgrim center situated about 22 km from Puri on the National Highway 203 ahead of Chandanpur, in Orissa. The place is famous for the Sakhigopal Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. Satyabadi is about 40 km from Bhubaneswar.

Satyabadi is also renowned as one of the prominent educational centres during the 19th and early part of the 20th century. Biswanath Hill near Delanga is about 15 km from Sakhigopal. Other places of tourist interest around Satyabadi include Barala village (11 km) famous for Balunkeswar Temple.
