Sattanathaswami Temple is a highly revered shrine, located at Shiyali Taluk, about 83 km from
Chennai, in
Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity here is Sattanathaswami (
Lord Shiva).
Other deities worshipped here include Goddess
Tripurasundari and Tirujnana Sambandar.
puja and abhisheks are offered to the deities daily.
The temple is surrounded by big compound walls with tall gopurams on all the four sides. There are twenty-two teerthams here.
