Satrikh, initially known as Saptrishi, is a small town in
Bara-Banki District of
Uttar Pradesh. Vasishta, the
guru of the Suryavanshi kings, preached and taught the young princes here.
Satrikh is the penance ground of Saints and ascetics. The people gather here to worship during the full moon of Jaishta.
Satrikh is well connected from Bara-Banki, about 6 km. Lucknow is around 30 km. Bara-Banki Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
