Sarvajanika Ganeshotsavam is an annual festival celebrated in connection with Ganesh Chaturthi. It is held during September, under the banner of Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Samithi at Kasargod.
During the festival, a big clay idol of Lord Ganesh is worshipped for seven days. On the last day, the image is taken out in a procession through the town before immersing it in the temple tank. This auspicious day is a public holiday in Kasargod District and thousands of devotees gather here to witness the event.
