Sarpeswarar-Paampuranathar Temple




Located at Tiruppaampuram, 7 km west of Peralam, is the famous Sarpeswarar-Paampuranathar Temple. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva, also known by the name Seshapureeswarar. The Goddess of the temple is Vandaar Poonkuzhali. Sage Sambandar is said to have sung hymns praising the lord. The main festivals celebrated are Maasi Magam and Arudra Darisanam.
