Sarila




Sarila, an erstwhile princely state of the Bundela Kingdom, is situated in Hamirpur District. It was founded in 1765 by Aman Singh Bundela, son of Pahar Singh and great grandson of Maharaja Chhatarsal of Panna.

Sarila, famous for Brahamanand Dham, is to the south-west of Hamipur and around 25 km from Rath, a historic town which contains several mosques, temples, tanks and numerous ghats. Other towns nearby are Gohand, Chandaut, Jalalpur and Muskira.

Orai Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. Nearest airport is C A Kanpur Airport.
