Sant Shree Asaramji Ashram




Sant Shree Asaramji Ashram was founded by Param Pujya Sant Shri Asaramji, a self-realized saint of India. This ashram has the noble ideal of uplifting the society by spreading the message of Vedanta, divine love, patience, simplicity, compassion and humility.

The first Ashram was established at Ahmedabad, in Gujarat, on the banks of the river Sabarmati in 1971. Sant Shree Asaramji Ashram has many branches in India and abroad. There are about 111 Ashrams all over India and 450 meditation centers operating throughout the world.

The Ashrams have temples associated with them for spiritual practices, which provide aspirants rapid spiritual progress. There is a special ashram for women in Ahmedabad. The women residing in this 'Mahila Ashram' devote their time to sadhana, performing spiritual practices and service under the guidance of the honorable mother Lakshmidevi. The women at Mahila Ashram prepare ayurvedic medicines.

The ashram is engaged in many charitable and educational activities, which includes medical services to poor people living in remote villages and interior tribal areas in India. It has ayurvedic clinics, schools for children, and mobile ayurvedic dispensary. The ashram organizes many tribal welfare programs also.
