Sant Namdev Temple

Sant Namdev Temple is located at Bassi Pathana in Fatehgarh Sahib District of Punjab. The temple, built in 1925, is dedicated to Sant Namdev, an exponent of Bhakti Marg (way to worship God).

Sant Namdev stayed at Bassi Pathana and preached Bhakti Marg to the people of the area. About 61 of his `Shaloks' have been included in Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred book of the Sikhs.

A major fair held here for 3 days on Vasant Panchami Festival draws thousands of people from far and near.
