Sankatmochan Hanuman Mandir

Sankatmochan Hanuman Mandir is situated at Kudurmal, in Korba District, Chhattisgarh. The temple was built by Mahatma Kevlal Patel, a prominent Saint of Kabir Sect. The presiding deity here is Lord Hanuman.

Most noteworthy feature of the temple is that the doorway and stairway do not face in the same direction as in the case with most other temples. The stairs face towards north while the door faces towards the south. The uniqueness lies in the fact that Lord Hanuman is an ardent worshipper of Lord Balaji and so after the establishment of the Balaji Temple the face of the deity was kept turning towards north while the body on the south side.
