Sangtam Tribe is one of the major tribes inhabiting in
Tuensang District of
Nagaland. Kiphire is the native town of Sangtams. They have about 12 festivals in a year including some special functions.
Amongmong Festival, which falls on 1st week of September, is celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tribal people.
