Sangha Kali



Sangha Kali, also known as Sastrakali, Chathirakali or Yatrakali, is a socio-religious dance. It was performed as a votive offering and is a favorite pastime of Namboothiris. Originated from Kalari, it is martial in character and actually in the form of combat exercise displaying the skill in swordsmanship and the mastery of techniques in the use of other weapons. Kudameduppu is the last phase of the dance.
