Samode

Samode is a small village situated 45 km form Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Located on way to Shekhawati, the village is famous for its haveli and Samode Fort. Situated among rugged hills, it is the erstwhile residence of Nathawats of Samode - prime ministers in the Darbar of Jaipur.

The 400-year-old Samode Palace, now converted into a heritage hotel, is another attraction. The palace is beautifully decorated with 300-year-old fine Shekhavati style wall paintings. The best time to visit Samode is between October and March. A camel ride through the village and the surrounding countryside will be a memorable experience.

Samode is about 55 km from the Sanganer Airport. Jaipur Junction Railway Station is 45 km away. Samode is well-connected to Delhi (220 km), Jaipur (45 km) and Jodhpur.
