Saligrama




Saligrama is located in the northwestern part of Mysore District in Karnataka. It is around 51 km north-west of Mysore, the district headquarters.

Saligrama is a Jain and Vaishnava pilgrim center. Bhaktamara Jinalaya (populary known as Chatrada Basadi) and Bhashyakara Temple, built in memory of Acharya Ramanuja, are the main attractions. Acharya Ramanuja is said to have stayed at Saligrama in the 12th century.

Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport. Nearest railhead is Krishanrajanaga Railway Station.
