Sakala Bhuvaneswarar Temple lies at Tirumeeyachur in
Tiruvarur District. This town also has another temple enshrining Tirumeninathar. The temple is dedicated to
Lord Shiva referred to as Sakala Bhuvaneswarar. Goddess Minnum Megalaiyaal is also worshipped here. Saint Appar is said to have contributed pathigams in praise of Bhuvaneswarar.
