Sahasrakuta Basadi




Sahasrakuta Basadi is a Jain temple situated at Arsikere in Hassan District of Karnataka. Established during the period of Hoysala kings, this ancient temple enshrines the idol of Bhagwan Mahavir as the presiding deity. The idols of Sahasrakuta Tirthankaras carved on a single stone, Bhagwan Adinath in the padmasana posture, Bhagwan Vimalanatha in the kayotsarga posture and also the idol of Goddess Saraswati. This temple has Sukhanasi, Pradakshinapatha, Navaranga and Mukhamantapa.

The nearest railway station is Arsikere Junction Railway Station.
