Rumbak is located in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir and falls in the Rumbak Valley. It lies at an altitude of 12,706 ft and is 25 km south-west of Leh.
A very steep and difficult footpath from Rumbak rises in sharp zigzags up to Stok La. Hemis National Park is a nearby attraction.
