Royal Orient




Royal Orient is a luxury train which runs under the supervision of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and the Indian Railways. It offers a weeklong journey for tourists.

Royal Orient has royal facilities in its thirteen comfortable and gold embossed saloon cars with five star deluxe amenities. The journey covers many attractive places such as temples, beaches, forests and sanctuaries. The train starts from Delhi Cantonment and takes one through the attractive states of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Tourists can relish the distinctive cultural essence of each state during halts.

Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Jaipur are the major places of Rajasthan visited during this journey. A 7th Century Fort sprawling over seven hundred acres, Ranakpur Jain Temple, the Amer Fort, the Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace are the splendid sights in Rajasthan covered by Royal Orient.

The Gir lion sanctuary (the only home of the Asiatic lion ) and 11th Century Sun Temple at Modhera are the major destinations in Gujarat. Royal Orient also offers trips to the Jain Temple atop the Shatrunjaya Hills at Palitana, where one has to climb up 3572 steps to enter the holy shrine, Ahmedpur Mandvi Beach, Ahmedabad- the city of Sultan Ahmed Shah, Calico Museum, and Gandhi Ashram.

Royal Orient provides 24 hour room service, adequate storage facility, running hot and cold water, and bright interiors. It serves delicious Oriental and European cuisines.

The train tarriff ranges from Rs. 5900 /- to Rs18000/- per day. Children below 5 years are permitted free. Those between 5 years and 12 years are charged only 50% of the total amount .
