Rookhad Wildlife Sanctuary




Rookhad, a wildlife sanctuary adjacent to the Pench National Park, is situated in the Seoni District of Madhya Pradesh. The forests around Rookhad have now been converted into a bison (gaur) sanctuary. Located on the road connecting Nagpur and Kanha National Park, there is a resort run by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation to serve as a mid-way refreshment halt for tourists. The best time to visit this place is between March and June. Rookhad Wildlife Sanctuary is around 26 km from Seoni and 101 km from Nagpur.
