Rongsaljong Agal

Rongsaljong Agal is a natural water tank located on the border of the South Garo and Khasi Hills in Meghalaya. The tank is 120 ft long and 90 ft wide, and contains perpetually clear and transparent water. The level of the water remains constant through out the year, even in the high rain fall or in the hot summer season.

There is a belief by Garos that the rock tank was the bathing ghat of Bandi's wife Sore. Her bucket of water fossilized into stone remains in this place.
