The Roman Catholic Church at
Krishnanagar, the headquarters of
Nadia District, is famous for architectural beauty and wooden sculptures, special works of Italian artists. It is believed that the Portuguese built this church in 1797. There are 27 oil paintings indicating the life of Jesus Christ.
