Rohru




Rohru, a small town located by the banks of the river Pabbar, is 115 km from Shimla. There is a valley near this city which is well known for trout fishing. This place is famous for its natural beauty and splendor, and offers great opportunities for various tourist activities, especially fishing, camping, trekking, hang gliding, and para gliding. . Raja Bajrang Bahadur Singh of Bahadh, who is also known as Raja Bhadri, was greatly attracted to this place and later he developed this area into a paradise of anglers.

Bright and comfy summers and freezing winters characterize the climate of Rohru. The city is well connected by roads and is easily approachable from Delhi, the capital of India. There are many places that are worth visiting in and around Rohru. Some of these are the Shikhru Devta Temple which is situated in the heart of the city, Chirgaon, Chanshal range, and the villages of Dodra and Kwar. Chirgaon also offers some of the good fishing spots in the area such as Seema, Sandasu, Tikri and Dhamari. Rafting and canoeing can also be enjoyed in the river Pabbar. The slopes of Chanshal is an excellent place for heliskiing.
