Rizong Monastery




Established in 1829, Rizong Monastery, also known as Yuma Changchubling, is a Gelupga Gompa. It is famous for its high level of monastic disciplines.

The painting blocks of the biography of Lama Tsultim Nima, the founder of the monastery, can be seen here. There are also several shrines.

Rizong Monastery is 72 km from Leh.
