Rishi Bankim Library and Museum




Rishi Bankim Library and Museum, established in 1954, is situated at Naihati in North 24 Parganas District of West Bengal. It is housed in a section of the ancestral house of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhayay, the initiative novelist of Bengali literature.

The museum houses original manuscripts, letters, photographs and documents of the novelist, a large number of books, and also the personal belongings of the author.

The visiting time is from 12:00 to18:00 hrs on weekdays; and from 15:00 to 18:00 on Fridays. The museum is closed on Thursdays and government holidays.
