Redi




Redi is a coastal village in Sindhudurg District, on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Located about 21 km south of Vengurla, Redi is a picturesque locale dotted with coconut and cashew trees.

Formerly known as Redipattanam, Redi is an important sea port. Yashwantgad Fort forms the major attraction here. The place also boasts some ancient temples, prominent being the Ganesh Temple, Swayambhu Shiv Temple, Rampurush Temple, Mauli Temple and Navadurga Temple.

Aaravali and Shiroda villages (8 km), Kanyale and the historic fort at Terekhol (10 km) are some of the tourist destinations around.

Sawantwadi Road Railway Station, 25 km away, is the nearest railhead. Goa Airport is the nearest airport.
