Red Cedar Splinters Veena

Red Cedar Splinters Veena is a stringed instrument, entirely different from the traditional veena. Its bowl is made from the splinters of red cedar wood. The gourd on the left side of the veena is directly connected to the stem which amplifies the sound and thus becomes the second resonator. It was designed and developed by the Development Center for Musical Instruments, Chennai.
