Ratewal



Ratewal is an old village situated in Nawan Shehar District, Punjab. It lies on the way to Machhiwara from Rahon (6 km).

There are five government elementary schools, a higher secondary school, two middle schools and also a college named, Maharaj Brahma Nand Bhoori Wale Girls College.

Wheat, paddy, sugarcane and corn are the main crops cultivated.

Takhni-Rehmapur Wildlife Sanctuary and Phillaur Fort are easily accessible from here.

The nearest international airport is at Amritsar and Rahon Railway Station serves this area.
