Rasiya is a style of folk song belonging to the Braj of
Uttar Pradesh. These songs depict the immortal love of
Lord Krishna with his childhood friend
Radha.
Rasiya is usually sung during the Latthmar Holi festival and it is an important part of the festival. These songs are accompanied by music created by huge drums known as ‘bumb’.
