Ranappa Dance




Ranappa is the dance form popular among the coastal areas of Ganjam District of Orissa. It received its name after the bamboo sticks carried for support. In this dance form, young village dancers standing on sticks dance to the tunes of Dhol and Mahuri, showing remarkable skills of balance and agility.
