Rana Kumbha Palace




Rana Kumbha Palace is a ruined edifice of great historical and architectural significance situated in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. It is the most massive monument in the Chittorgarh Fort and is believed to have underground cellars where Rani Padmini and other women committed Jauhar.

The original Rana Kumbha Palace is believed to have been built by Rana Hamir. The palace is built of exquisitely cut stone covered with coats of stucco and possibly painted.

Chittaurgarh Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
