Ramnagar




Ramnagar, on the banks of the Ghaghra, is a small town in Alapur taluk of Ambedkarnagar District. It lies to the east of Akbarpur, the district headquarters, and about 65 km from Gorakhpur.

Kichhauchha Sharif, one of the well known religious places in the district, is located to the south-west of Ramnagar.

Ramnagar is well connected by road to Makhdumnagar, Tanda, an industrial town, Jalalpur and Jahangirganj. Akbarpur Railway Station, on the Faizabad-Varanasi rail route, serves the town. Varanasi Airport is 125 km away.
