Situated in the Minicoy Island of Lakshadweep, Rammed is a small village which works as a gathering called Baemedu. It has different customs and food habits. The village has a Moopan or Bodukaka (head-man of the village) and Bodudatha (head-woman of the village). The internal organization of the village is headed by the Moopan. Mahl is the main language spoken. The village boat is known as Lanchi.
