Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, also known as Quinton Hall, is located in the Police Bazar area of
Shillong. It was named after Mr W Quinton, the former chief commissioner of undivided
Assam. Built in 1892, the hall has witnessed several storms of history. Now under the Ramakrishna Mission, the center has a computerized library, a meditation hall, an auditorium and a free coaching center for school students.
The nearest airport at Guwahati is about 129 km from Shillong. Buses ply between Shillong and Guwahati.
